SOME NOTES TO THE LEVEL CROSSINGS REGISTER IN THE FIRE BRIGADE RESCUE CORPS INFORMATION SYSTEM

Abstract

The paper deals with the main principles of the project identified as
VG20102014042 “Level crossings information database except of the level
crossings under the SZDC administration” which is the part of the Security
Research Program of Czech republic for years 2010-2015 and which is solved on
KPM CONSULT INC. with the grant of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The selected level crossing accidents characteristics and possibilities of
their preventive solution are presented in the introduction part of the paper. They
are discussed operation role and main features of the routine operated RRA – IRS
data interface.
The paper continues by the overview of the legislation and organization
conditions for these activities and supposed project results realization oriented on
the railways out of the RRA administration. Some principles of the territory
description based on the EU directive INSPIRE and the other GIS system are
mentioned. The questions of the today state of data interface quality and
possibilities of its improving are discussed.
The main features and quantitative characteristics of own measurements
results and software support of the register improvements realized in the local
network, internet portal and GIS technologies are mentioned too.
