Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submit articles in the following categories:

a) Scientific Article

A scientific article presents new findings based on original research. Its structure includes:

  • Introduction: Definition of the topic and placement within the context of current research.
  • Literature Review: Summary of existing solutions and perspectives from other authors.
  • Research Objective: Clearly defined research aim.
  • Methodology: Description of methods used to achieve the research objective.
  • Results: Presentation of verifiable and replicable findings.
  • Discussion: Interpretation of results and comparison with other studies.
  • Conclusion: Summary of main findings, contributions, and recommendations.

Formal Requirements:

  • Title: In Czech or Slovak and English (Arial 12, bold).
  • Author(s): Full name(s) (Arial 10, regular).
  • Email: Author's contact information (Arial 10, regular).
  • Abstract: Brief description of the article (500–700 characters including spaces) in English.
  • Keywords: Maximum of 10 English terms or phrases.
  • Main Text: Length of 6–20 standard pages (10,800–36,000 characters including spaces, Arial 10). Includes numbered endnotes.
  • Summary: Summary of the article's content, contributions, and conclusions in English (2,000–3,000 characters including spaces).
  • References: Alphabetically arranged citations according to standardized norms.

b) Professional and Informative Article

A professional article processes known information and its interpretations, aiming to offer a new perspective on the topic.

Article Structure:

  • Introduction: Definition of the topic and article objective.
  • Literature Review: Summary and systematic arrangement of relevant information from other authors.

Formal Requirements:

  • Title: In Czech or Slovak and English (Arial 12, bold).
  • Author(s): Full name(s) (Arial 10, regular).
  • Email: Author's contact information (Arial 10, regular).
  • Abstract: Brief description of the article's content (500–700 characters including spaces) in English.
  • Keywords: Maximum of 5 English terms or phrases.
  • Main Text: Length of 4–6 standard pages (7,200–14,400 characters including spaces, Arial 10). The text should be written in a freer style but based on objective sources.
  • References: Optional. If specific sources are cited, they must be properly referenced.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
